Nancy Whitehead grew up woodcock and grouse hunting with her dad and two brothers in the woods of New Hampshire—mostly just carrying a camera in a tradition that continues today. She knows her subject matter intimately and, in a former life, while raising her own two sons, she was a dog breeder.
